Fed ID - another reason NOT to do this
What information will be accessible with this ID card?

Just your standard driver's license information? Did you know that you cannot renew your driver's license in California, and no doubt other states, if your name on your driver's license does not match the name associated with your social security number?

What else might be electronically assessable from the card with the magnetic strip on it? Your health records? Your place of employment? Group affiliations, such as church, synagogue, or mosque membership?

Do we really know what will be accessable? No. We don't.
