Still no pets..
There were numerous announcements about places you could go to escape the rising water. None of them allowed pets. Hmmm.
Something that occurred to me was that I don't have little pet carriers for my 4 cats. I always schlep them to the vet inside pillowcases firmly tied with string. Poor little buggers? No, they actually are much calmer. However that would not work particularly well in a case where they needed to be penned for any length of time.
The horse was high and dry up on Taylor Mountain. It is soggy there with little streams running everywhere but the area has been well set up for water drainage, with french drains and rock lined channels to move water downhill and off the property.
There's an idea! Hey, Bandit, move over - the cats need a little space!
